Craigies Clydesdale Experience
For the first time, we are offering you the chance to get up close and personal with Wendy, our Clydesdale Horse.
Our hands on experience will consist of the following…
Meet our farmer for a Q&A session about Clydesdales. Looking to learn more about Clydesdale horses? Have burning questions you’ve always wanted the answer to? This is the place to find out.
Clean out Wendys pen. Not the most glamorous of jobs but an important part of your experience as you learn more about her day to day care!
Now that her pen is ready, let’s go and get her! We’ll collect Wendy from her field and show you how to properly adjust her head collar.
Clydesdale horses require a little extra care and attention when it comes to grooming. Their distinctive leg feathering needs to be cleaned well on a regular basis to avoid a build up of dirt. You will help to brush her coat, untangle her tail and clean her feet.
Dinner time! Get feed from the stables and feed Wendy.
To finish off your experience you’ll take Wendy for a stroll around the farm before returning her to her field.
While Wendy has a well deserved rest, you can head to our café for a hot drink and breakfast roll on us - you’ve earned it!
To commemorate your visit and your time with Wendy, you’ll receive your very own horse Teddy to take home with you - a great way to remember your day.
